The HC244 utilizes the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare's patented Ambient Tracking® PLUS auto-adjusting humidification technology. The HC234 series address the issues of rain out and gurgling due to condensation build up in the air tube. The HC244 operates quietly and has auto humidification adjusting to address the issues of rain out and condensation to insure comfort.

Compared to the HC234, the HC244 utilized a USB Card Reader and Compliance Monitoring.
